Act4Peace was an Erasmus+ youth exchange focused on conflict prevention, peacebuilding, trauma awareness, negotiation and diplomacy.

The project brought together young people from eight countries in Ureki, Georgia. Participants took part in workshops, conflict simulations, case studies, group discussions, role plays and intercultural learning activities.

They explored the causes and effects of conflict and learned how peaceful dialogue and negotiation could support conflict prevention. The programme examined the experiences and needs of people affected by war, displacement and post-conflict trauma. Participants also developed communication, teamwork, public speaking and intercultural cooperation skills.

The project encouraged young people to use their knowledge through volunteering, activism, community work and future careers related to peacebuilding and humanitarian action.

Aims & objectives

Conflict prevention

Increase participants’ theoretical and practical knowledge of conflict prevention, peacebuilding, negotiation and diplomacy.

Practical & personal skills

Develop practical and personal skills in communication, teamwork, public speaking, intercultural cooperation and peaceful conflict resolution.

Understanding trauma

Improve understanding of post-conflict trauma and strengthen participants’ ability to support conflict-affected people and communities.
