Lifeboat was an Erasmus+ cooperation project focused on the social inclusion of young refugees, migrants and local youth.
The project brought together organizations from six countries. It responded to the challenges faced by young people from migrant backgrounds, including social isolation, negative public attitudes, limited confidence and difficulties joining local youth activities.
Young migrants, refugees and local peers contributed to the development of inclusive educational methods and activities. Youth workers, teachers and facilitators learned how to work more effectively with multicultural groups. The project also created practical resources that supported dialogue, participation and cooperation between young people from different backgrounds.
The project helped youth organizations and education professionals create safer and more welcoming environments and respond to xenophobia, racism and social exclusion.
Improve the social inclusion of migrant and refugee youth through cooperation with local young people.
Strengthen the skills of youth workers, teachers and facilitators working with multicultural groups.
Create accessible educational materials that promote tolerance and help prevent xenophobic and racist behaviour.
