Peace Labs for Uniting Communities was an Erasmus+ professional development project focused on social polarisation, inclusive dialogue, conflict prevention and democratic participation.
The project brought together 30 participants from six countries in Zakopane, Poland. Participants took part in practical workshops, simulations, group discussions, dialogue exercises, peer learning and non-formal education activities.
They explored how political divisions, disinformation, identity conflicts and ongoing wars affected trust between young people and communities. The programme examined how youth workers could create safe spaces for difficult conversations and help young people listen to different views with respect. Participants also learned methods for reducing tension, preventing radicalisation and rebuilding trust in divided communities.
The project provided practical tools that participants could use in youth organizations, local Peace Labs and community activities.
Strengthen participants’ skills in dialogue facilitation, conflict prevention and the management of sensitive group discussions.
Provide practical methods for supporting young people affected by polarisation, mistrust, discrimination and social exclusion.
Support participants in organizing local Peace Labs and using tested activities to promote empathy, cooperation and peaceful communication.
